During today's conversation we talk about the weekend ahead of playoff football then move to Microsoft making a big purchase, airlines hating 5G, the problem with quarterly earnings reports, Netflix and Peloton both sliding and more! 

In this episode of the commute series we talk about the bleak future for movie theaters and what drove them to this reality. This conversation was sparked by the new Spider Man movie being in theaters. We talk through how cool it used to be to go, why it isn't that cool anymore, and the only possible thing that can save movie theaters.

In today's episode we dive into the hassle that moving is, some pop culture news, and the new show I have been binging. After, we dig into what I feel to be the 3 biggest hurdles that people in younger generations have to contend with. We go through what they are, how I feel about them, and what my hope is going forward. 

In this episode we dive into a world that is outside of finance. We dive into marketing, and how major companies that all of us know came to be the powerhouses that we know them to be today. We talk through the marketing aspect of these companies and how a lot of time we don't even realize the impact it has on us as consumers. This loops into investing and we cover how the marketing and image that a company is able to create and maintain has some impact on its attractiveness as an investment for different investors. 

I definitely ramble on this episode as I go through different marketing topics and the impact each has on investing as it was something I find incredibly interesting and enjoyed talking about. 

Welcome to The Commute, the series where I randomly pick a topic before I start my commute to wherever I am going and we talk about it for a bit. 
For today, we talk through electric vehicles. We look at it as a consumer and investor, talking through the highlights of each. We also talk about the exciting but incredibly different future that  EVs and autonomous vehicles may bring. 

In this episode we go through the month that August was and why I wasn't able to upload. However, that brings us to what September will be and how there are some new things on the horizon. 
Then we dive into football and golf talk as I go through some personal stories and reflection on my golf game. 
To dive into the finance side of things, we cover a wide variety of topics covering blockchain and cryptocurrencies. We cover some companies that are adopting the technology. The crypto as a storage of value or currency debate and wrap up with what it all may be in the future.

Life is more than one or two things. It is something that is hundreds to thousands of decisions made every single day that shape our lives without us even realizing it. Whether you think about it specifically or not, finance plays just as big of a role in our life as anything else. Being that everything ties together, I thought it'd be a really cool idea to have a podcast that tackles these things and brings a feeling of relatability that I find to be a powerful thing in life. So that is what we will do here. We will talk about Life. We will talk about Finance. And we will talk about everything and anything in-between. It all ties together and it always will. This will be relatable and hopefully you can take from it for your life. 

In this first episode, I'll just introduce myself and the podcast. I'll go over what I want this to be, maybe what it can grow into, and what I would love for you guys to take from it. I give some glimpse into what the future of it may hold. I'm excited to start this journey and hope you'll join me on it.
