ModernWarzone Weekly #7 - Vanguard Reveal, New Warzone Map, And An Anti-Cheat Has Been Announced

Call of Duty: Vanguard has finally been announced!

By participating in the "Battle of Verdansk" limited-timed playlist, players were tasked with destroying a heavily armored train. By successfully destroying the train and attempting to escape to a rendezvous point, players were ultimately rewarded with the official reveal trailer for Call of Duty: Vanguard.

Shortly thereafter, more information about Vanguard was revealed via a Call of Duty blog post. Some of the highlights included campaign details, multiplayer details, and changes for Warzone (including a PC anti-cheat and a new map).

In this week’s episode, Doug and Gojj recapped everything from the blog post, shared their reviews on the in-game event, and so much more.

If you don’t have time to listen to the full episode, we have you covered. Down below, you’ll find timestamps for each major topic we cover and some sources so you can learn more about a certain topic yourself.

This week on the podcast, Doug and Gojj were joined by Warzone content creator NYSL Mavriq to talk about the roadmap for Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 5.

The trio also had a long but (hopefully) entertaining conversation on the rampant cheating problem in Warzone and why it’s more complicated than many people think.

In this week’s episode of ModernWarzone Weekly, Doug and Gojj talked about a game that has taken the FPS genre by storm. A game that has many people literally waiting in queues to play it. And surprisingly, It’s not Warzone or Battlefield.

Instead, the duo shared their opinions on Splitgate. Can this “Halo meets Portal” title keep up with its recent rush of popularity? Is it the next big game that you don’t want to miss out on? What will the Splitgate competitive scene be like? Tune in to hear their thoughts!

Also on the show, Gojj and Doug followed up on the Activision Blizzard walkout, Halo Infinite’s tech preview, and more potential content coming to Battlefield 2042 post-launch.

We apologize for releasing this episode a little late. We have been experiencing some issues exporting this podcast but thankfully, those issues have been resolved and we should be back on our usual schedule from here on out.

JGOD joins ModernWarzone’s Doug Dagnabbit and Warzone Shoutcaster Grandmaster Gojj to discuss 40+ weapon changes in Warzone.

We wanted to have a Q&A with JGOD and get his thoughts on the most notable topics around the Warzone scene. However, minutes before we went live on Twitch, Raven Software released the patch notes for the mid-season update. And, safe to say, it changed the entire meta.

So, what can you expect in this week’s episode of ModernWarzone Weekly? Well, Doug, Gojj, and JGOD reacted to and broke down the Warzone Season 4 Reloaded patch notes. JGOD also shares his thoughts on the Warzone competitive scene.
