GHOST OF THE ANCIENT PANTHER! This story, set in a mountain village known as Cumberland, is based on the legend of a ghostly panther known for terrorizing everyone over the centuries. The return of the creature brings out old fears in a schoolteacher who must risk his life to save his daughter. The program’s positive message is presented as goosebump-raising entertainment that is sure to capture the imagination of children of all ages. Produced by Mojave Beach Productions, it was written and is told by Esther Luttrell. The music was created and performed by David Fesliyan of Fesliyan Studios. Announcers are Jack Diamond and Patrick McGranahan. Running time: 18:27.
A Thinking Thread. This sci-fact, thought-provoking audio drama is adapted from a short story by award-winning British writer Deryn Pittar, and told by Esther Luttrell. The fashion industry is always looking for something new; a cloth to surprise the world and delight the wearer, a fabric that handles and drapes with style and elegance. Jessica hopes their latest creation will save the family’s fashion business. Their researchers have created a ‘thinking thread’ and a walk in the rain was intended to test its capabilities. What no one anticipated was for artificial intelligence to have a will of its own. From Mojave Beach Productions’ Saratoga Theater. Music credits and appreciation to Fesliyan Studios and Pixabay. UFO ENCOUNTERS. True, documented story told by Esther Luttrell in this unscripted Mojave Beach audio production. “I may not be a nuclear physicist, but I know a solid metallic object hovering just twenty feet over my head from a malfunctioning weather balloon,” Luttrell says in this straightforward account of her personal experiences. “We have got to stop treating the subject as if aliens are comic book characters. They’re real and they’re here.” Quotations at the end of the program, delivered by Patrick McGranahan and Carter Lord, are taken directly from official, declassified, reports by astronauts, military intelligence, a foreign leader, and a U.S. president. The score was composed and performed by David Fesliyan and Steve Oxen of Fesliyan Studios. Jeff Evans is the announcer. Running Time: 39:45.
Bob Powell returns as psychic investigator Frank Batelle in this Mojave Beach Audio Production of Murder at the Liberty Ballroom. The Governor of Kansas asks her friend Batelle to track down the killer of a former movie star before it becomes a media circus. Audrey Hilliard suffered a cruel death in the place she once dominated as the most beautiful homecoming queen in her small Midwestern village. Having been in town only hours before her murder, the challenge is to find the person who lured her to the infamous Liberty Ballroom. Suspect Janet Denison, a former classmate, once vowed to get even with Audrey for stealing her lover “even if takes the rest of my life”. Tony cherishes the memory of himself and Audrey as everyone’s favorite dance team. How could Audrey have forgotten? The local librarian bitterly resents Audrey’s treatment of her mother, while Sheriff Crane denies having known Audrey in their youth. A lie that covers the pain Audrey caused when she broke his heart, his spirit and sparked a rage that would last a lifetime. The “gift” that often leads Batelle down dark corridors and into blind alleys, leads him this time to an ending with a twist no one anticipated. Producer-director Esther Luttrell adapted the script from a short story by Dennis Smirl. Barbara Powell co-produced. An outstanding cast of Mojave Beach Players help to keep listeners in suspense. Excellent score by David Fesliyan, Steve Oxen, David Renda, and David Robson of Fesliyan Studios. Sound effects courtesy of Freesound. Uppbeat provided the talent of composer Jonny Boyle performing his song “Bright Life”. Jack Diamond is the announcer. Running time 54:36.
TRUE GHOST STORIES. Mojave Beach Productions’ writer-producer, Esther Luttrell, and co-host Dianne Lawson, recount their personal other-worldly experiences in this audio podcast from the Podcast Excursions series. Dianne’s encounter with ghosts in her house and in her son’s renovated farm mansion mix well with Esther’s tales of the ghost who delivered her mail, the favorite grandfather who died years before she was born, and the husband who handed her a copy of his wife’s book four years after his death. Chilling enough to entertain. Believable enough to make you think. A fast-paced 50:26. Jeff Evans and Jack Diamond are the announcers. David Fesliyan, of Fesliyan Studios, provided the eerie background music. The theme was written and performed by Toni Beaulieu.
