Continuing our themes of creating original content, showing up as our authentic selves, and using content to attract and nurture those right-for-us customers and clients, we leaned further in to the notion of taking a stand within our content marketing.

"If your content isn't annoying someone, it likely isn't inspiring anyone either."

Agree? Disagree?

And the related prompt given to participants, "are you willing to create content that someone dislikes or even hates?"

We discussed the difference between comparing opinions/advice and attacking people personally. Jennifer emphasized the importance of being able to critique ideas without denigrating the person. Participants shared examples, such as Claudette's experience with the word "stepmom" and Tish's rebranding from "Unapologetically Fat"; as well as experiences embracing email unsubscribes.

Weekend extra credit around sharing opinion-based content and/or a 'Teach Us in 10' video tutorial were offered.
