You've had the baby, but the only time you want to head to the bedroom is to catch some much needed Zzzs. Yup. It's normal. But if it's so "normal" then why aren't we having more conversations about how to help our relationships thrive during this all important transition into parenthood.
Well, we did! And it was a good one. Excuse our overexcitement for this chat, but we loved speaking to Relationship and Sex Coach Valentina Tudose on getting that spark back. And guess where it starts? With self love (and maybe a bit of prenatal preparation too!).
If you'd like to connect with Valentina you can find her on Insta @therealqueenmaker or visit her page https://happyeverafter.asia/.
Thank you for supporting MBS! We love it when you like, rate, review, share and keep the conversation going! Lindsay & Ziggy x

When Sonalie Figueiras (founder of Green Queen) went looking for answers about her health, she didn't expect to find them in her refrigerator. But the realization that the food we eat has a huge impact on our health stirred this serial entrepreneur into research mode and ultimately the creation of Green Queen Media, Hong Kong's award-winning online magazine & global impact media platform.
We talk consumption, low waste living, raising plant based children and managing motherhood with multiple business. You'll understand why Green Queen's motto is 'We Inform. We Inspire. We Empower' when you listen to this weeks' superpowered episode with Sonalie.

Lucy Hill started experience chronic back pain in her forties and although she knew her body was trying to tell her something, what she discovered was far from expected. Her quest to heal her back pain lead her to uncover something far deeper, the trauma she'd buried from being given up for adoption.
Lucy takes us on a journey from childhood, through discovering she had TMS (Tension Myoneuro Symptom), all the way to finding her birth mother. It's an emotional ride, but an inspiring one too.
Much like many of the topics we delve into on MBS, it comes down to education, support and open conversations. Here's a list of the resources from this episode:

A home birth in the UK and a hospital birth in Hong Kong has certainly given Molly Grenham experience to draw on in her role as a Doula. But it was having a breech baby that sparked a desire to be a bigger part of her birth process, which led her to the sometimes controversial, but incredibly powerful practice of Placenta Encapsulation.
What don't we talk about in this episode? Tips for birthing alone during covid, how to positively navigate unexpected twists and turns in birth, how a Doula is different from a midwife, why you might want a Doula for your birth, and more on this week's episode!
You can find Molly and her services at www.mothernurturehk.com.

Breast might be best for you or it might not. But the bottom line that Liz Thomas, journalist by day, breastfeeding campaigner by night, so perfectly shares with us is that there's room to support everyone in their journeys. For her, that began with a tricky start after her first pre-term labour, and the realization that both education and normalisation of breastfeeding was lacking in our otherwise cosmopolitan city, including the much needed support for breastfeeding moms returning to the workforce. Hong Kong is home to Liz and her campaign #ittasteslikelove, which provides support, education and equality for breastfeeding mothers, as well as a list of locations you can feed your baby safe in the knowledge you won't be shamed, and maybe even get a free cookie!

We have come full circle! MBS started the season off with Lindsay's real and raw story of loss and healing, and we're closing Season 1 with Lindsay's birth story.
As a prenatal yoga instructor and soon-to-be hypnobirthing teacher Lindsay felt an enormous amount of pressure to have a certain kind of birth, but why? And for who? Find out how she navigated her way through a birth that wasn't the one she dreamt of, but still the one she was a positive part of.
That is it for Season One of the MBS! A huge and heartfelt thanks for our listeners this year. Your support and encouragement has meant everything to us in this unique year. We'll be back in the New Year with more stories to share and more connections to be made. Reach out to us at [email protected] in the meantime if you'd like to be featured on MBS.
