Sometimes we neglect the most important work of our day. The work in growing of growing in holiness, and in spreading the Gospel, and the Catholic Faith to others

All over the Church, throughout the Catholic culture, we're replacing the real with the synthetic. Whether it's fake bells, fake candles, or a "synthetic faith" in the Catholic heart.

You can't change Truth. It is unchanging, as God is unchanging, because it comes from God. But when we don't like what the Truth is, we TRY to change it. We do that by changing character and meaning of the components that compose the Truths we mean to change.

We have all evicted The Truth from its proper places by degrading it. By converting it to sentiment, to opinion, and to lies, we have removed The Truth from the world, from classrooms, and from our hearts, and have denied The King his Kingdom.

The culture today has a "possession obsession". We have a peculiar fascination, or obsession with demonic possession and exorcism. But demonic possession pales in comparison to far more common manifestations of pure evil.

Love and Tolerance are misunderstood and misapplied in the secular mind. They are distorted versions of Virtues taught by the Catholic Church. Sometimes this effects us in the Church as well. Catholics can get disoriented and lost by messages that seem to coincide, when they are actually very much in conflict.

Jesus Christ conquered sin, death, and evil through His crucifixion. Not by a force of will or a display of power, but by submitting Himself to the will of The Father. We must suffer "tiny crucifixions" in life in order to conquer the evils of the world

We check mirrors all day to make sure we look "well ordered" on the outside. But we don't often look within ourselves to make sure we're well ordered on the inside. Catholics, and The Church need a reflective perspective, and look deep within ourselves and see what's out of order, and needs to be put right.

Lots of people are seeking the Lord. But are they looking for him for the right reasons? Do they know how to look for him? Is Jesus just a companion, or master of our lives? Do we seek the "niceness" of Jesus, or the GOODNESS of Jesus?

The ACLU is once again working its black magic in an attempt to force the Catholic Church to provide abortions to illegal immigrants. And in the Church we respond to that by reducing the truth to a constitutional debate. That's just not good enough!
