Today, in honor of Earth Day, we address the issue of creation care with one of our favorite people, Kyra Hood. Kyra is a student at Southern Wesleyan University majoring in Psychology and minoring in Christian Ministry. She is super active here at SWU as an athlete in cross country, and track and field, and she frequently participates in musicals here on campus. Kyra is the founder of SWU Environmentalists, an organization that seeks to lead the campus and community in a lifestyle that is sustainable and more environmentally friendly, specifically focused on recycling, community involvement, and educating others on issues involving environmental concerns. Our discussion addresses the catalyst that introduced Kyra to a lifestyle of conservationism and what practical steps we can take to be worthy stewards of our earth.

In this episode, we talk with Dr. Teresa Williams about the future of medicine in a post-Covid-19 world. Dr. Teresa Williams is board certified in Pediatrics and Internal Medicine and also holds a Masters of Public Health. She provides us with the latest updates in the world of Covid-19 from a public health perspective and what it means for us over the next few weeks. Additionally, she reveals evidence of true ingenuity in the medical world, already allowing doctors to expand their capacities of treatment and care for patients. She concludes by placing a positive spin on the current crisis as she looks into the future, highlighting the lessons we are learning currently which will transform the world of medicine going forward.
Today we continue our conversation with Christy Bauman in part two of our podcast interview. She is an author, teacher and psychotherapist, a mother of four, and passionate about advocating for women. She has a master's degree in counseling and is certified in Medical Family Therapy and Trauma and Abuse counseling. She published the books Unearth in 2008, and A Brave Lament in 2018. Her most recent book, which we will be focusing on today, is Theology of the Womb: Knowing God Through the Body of a Woman. She is currently earning her doctorate at Seattle Pacific University and is researching Shame and Sexuality in Women.
