Moments that Matter with Jon Giswold

In this significant moment of the CoronaVirus, what will the future be?  Who will I be?  How will I be?  This is the defining time... right now.

I have been blessed to have many women and men mentor me.  There have been 2 that helped shape the professional man that I am and in their promotion of me as an instructor and trainer, they shaped me as a Man.

Embarking on the new Decade ahead, this conversation (ongoing) asks the question of the impact social media platforms are having on me.. and those I care about.  As Miranda from DEVIL WEARS PRADA would say... groundbreaking.

Truly though, the impact from the engagement is both positive and negative and that is what I am asking of myself.  Maybe you will identify.

Upon celebrating a pivotal birthday that ends with the number 0... I was given a sacred gift from someone I had never met.  This person will always remain in my transition into this Chapter of my life... and that's enough.

My personal journey of service is ongoing and one that I take seriously.  If I say I will do something... I do it.  This story is close to my aching heart, but resulted in something that I could have never seen - and was then made available to the world.

This is the first conversation posted to the Moments that Matter podcast. Steve Boedt has his own podcast along with his friend Kass Martin “The Fun Road” which is entertaining and empowering.

Taking away all the exaggerations that build up a story and getting to the basic truth of the event.  This is hard for me to practice and therefore admitting it will help me stay the course.

This conversation is about a "field of dreams" moment that brought me back to the Northwest of Wisconsin and gave me a profound lesson that was needed to move forward.  Build is and the answer will be revealed.  And of course.. the loons.

This conversation is one that is ongoing with me. Using a skill that I learned in recovery... when I am at a crossroads where an answer seems like it lingers on the other side of a mountain - too far to reach and I’m caught spinning wheels.. I ask myself am I hungry, angry, lonely or tired? Then I can take steps to the resolve.

I was given words of wisdom from a respected source who reminded me of the importance of planting my two feet on the soil of my youth, in order to remind me of where I learned most of my personal settings... which are always reliable for me.
