There is a challenge before us for another great move of the Holy Spirit - Revival.

God has already done what he needs to do by tearing open the heavens and sending the Holy Spirit.

Using the analogy of lightning to illustrate the principle of fire from heaven and the example of the Welsh revival, we see that our role then is to prepare earth for the revival fire. This we do by:

1. Biblical, Christ centred preaching

2. A deep desire and desperation for transformation

3. Earnest and passionate prayer.

When we pray we rest on the confidence in the efficacy of the prayers of Jesus, not our own consistency as Christians. When it comes to prayer there is no better example than Jesus, do we stop and consider the words of Jesus throughout the Gospels and what did Jesus actually ask for. Perhaps we would learn a lot about our prayer life when we look at what Jesus never prayer for.

Kristy shares with is about the powerful names of God found throughout the Bible and what each name reveals about His character, nature, and faithfulness. From Jehovah Jireh—the Lord who provides, to Jehovah Rapha—the Lord who heals, every name points us to who God is and how He relates to His people. As we learn the names of God, we discover His power, provision, protection, presence, and promises. Knowing His names helps us know Him more deeply.

Have you ever been distracted when praying, those random thoughts that distract you from focusing in on God, I'm sure we all have. The Apostle Paul writes to us in the book of Ephesians about some things that we can do in our lives to focus more on Jesus. We are encouraged to put off certain things and to put on the new man and then to put away certain behaviours as we draw closer to engaging all of our mind in prayer.

As we continue the series on Prayer we look at the impact of the supernatural or praying in our spirit and the hinderances that can happen to stop our prayers getting answered. A well known preacher said "You won't know what prayer is for until you know that life is war" What is this we we fight as believers and how does our prayer have an impact on that?

In Exodus chapter 30, we read where Moses was given a recipe for the holy anointing oil, to be used initially for anointing the tabernacle, the various instruments used in it and Aaron and his sons as priests. The anointing is more than a feeling and each ingredient has a spiritual significance that directs us to different aspects of the anointing. The anointing in the tabernacle evidences the consecration of those things that are chosen and set apart for the purpose of worship. In this way they become holy. The outworking of this, once Moses had completed the anointing, was that the glory of the Lord filled the Tabernacle. We then see how this applied to the life of Jesus, as we follow the story of his baptism and the anointing of the Holy Spirit, prior to the launching of his ministry. The same principles that we read concerning the tabernacle are applied to the church and the individual believers who comprise it. The bible tells us that each individual and the church as a whole is a temple of the Holy Spirit, so the anointing, which evidences the consecration that makes us holy applies to each of us and also to the church corporately. The challenge for us is to walk in the anointing that we have received and to see the glory of God fill the house.

The bible shares with us about the cycle of a seed to a tree and then the fruit that the tree bears, as Christians Jesus talks to us about bearing fruit and to do that we need to not just be positioned in Jesus but having a soil that is ready for the fruit to grow.

The bible tells us of 6 people who responded to the call of God with "Hineni" Many Christians respond to God with sure Lord I'll do it but sometimes God asks us to respond to him with more than a yes. Hineni is translated as "Here I Am" but the meaning is more than that, it requires a deeper place of relationship with God a sink or swim we are all in. God always looks for a heart that will align with His plan not a plan that aligns with your heart. Let's get on God's page and purpose today.

In Luke's Gospel in chapter 6 we read "that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks" We all have a story to tell, the song of our lives and that song is filled with moments that define and and make us, when we life a life filled the the goodness of God and Jesus as our Lord and Saviour our heart is filled with eh abundance of Jesus and we just can't help sharing that testimony. Nico shares with us some of his song and things that shaped his life for Jesus.

We always want our prayers answered and we know as Christians that God does actually answer every prayer but it is either yes, no or wait. While we don't know the mind of God we can understand the ways of God and the bible gives us numerous reasons why our prayers may be hindered. If we think of the quote from a famous Christian author - "God always answers your prayers in precisely the way you want them to be answered if you knew everything he knew."
