The book of Malachi is known as a book of Rhetorical Disputations, a book where the Israelites have a debate with God and let God know exactly how they feel and God actually allows this. We often think God is not interested in our frustrations and yet our loving God is interested and God also allows us to speak but He does have a word that reveals and confronts our heart, our worship and our lifestyle.

Life doesn’t always go how we think. The Israelites thought they would enter the promised land but it took a whole generation to pass before they would enter. We all have indifferent times throughout our life, the good and not so good and unfortunately even the bad. Nevertheless no matter what we face our God promises that He will always be there for us and God will prepare our feet for the road we all must travel.

Psalm 150 tells us the whole world will Praise God for all that He has done and we are to praise Him with every breath.

Today we look at three situations in the bible where praise could have been stopped. One where we have done wrong, another where we have done nothing but have been faithful to God and the last where we have been faithful to God and active in the work God puts before us. In all three cases the enemy tries to stop our praise, none are exempt so how will we respond to our great God.

So often we want to know what Gods will is for our life instead of being content in the journey and this can at times make us anxious.

Our God desires the best for us always and our journey with God is one of trust and learning that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. Our God knows our future and destiny - just trust in Him.

This Father's Day, Ps Harry shares a message about the life of two men who both heard God in visions and dreams and who both left their homeland to go where God led them. God always equips the called and both these men saw the faithfulness of our Heavenly Father in their journey.

The book of Nehemiah describes to us a story of being renewed and revived. The exiles had returned from Babylon and now they were reading the law, worshipping God and confessing their sin. They had forgotten in their exile to put God first in all things and likewise in our journey of faith we are reminded to place Jesus in the centre of our lives first and foremost.

We all have things in our lives we either need to renovate or rebuild like our attitudes or friends or relationships even our opinions and sometimes even our dreams and desires.

Jesus talks to us about building on a correct foundation, that we need to make sure that our lives are placed upon a Godly foundation. Is our biblical worldview of Jesus big enough to cover every aspect of our lives?

In the Gospel of John we read about three amazing encounters that Nicodemus had with Jesus and in each one John highlights the point that Nicodemus was the one who came at night. Over the three encounters we see a Pharisee who had status and position in the community risk his theological standing, his political and professional standing and then even his social standing.

What would cause someone to risk all for the Kingdom of God, the answer of course is Jesus.

2 Samuel chapter 11 is the story of King David and Bathsheba and how David found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time leading to David breaking the tenth commandment, the sin of coveting. This led him to break another four commandments causing a series of events to unfold.

More importantly David did one thing in Chapter 12 that led to several others on his path to restoration with God.

In this series titled "Forgive Us Our Trespasses" we look at the journey of our faith, sin and repentance.

This week Ps Harry looks at the story of Hosea and Gomer, it's a story that shows us the great redemptive and loving nature of God. While Northern Israel was facing judgement and captivity God used the life of Hosea and Gomer to show us that no matter what we've done He is still there with us willing to pay the price because God loves us.
