For real estate, the fall/winter high season was booming, proving to be one of the strongest resale and new home markets Loreto Bay has ever seen; that is, of course, until mid-March, when the coming ramifications of COVID-19 swept this part of the world almost overnight, including Loreto Bay and the town of Loreto.
Momentum Realty, founded by long-time Loreto realtor Tracy Collingridge last October, quickly grew its team — including two additional full-time realtors — to provide top-notch professional sales and marketing support to both sellers and a plethora of potential buyers. In the six months from our inception through to March 31, Momentum Realty was pleased to represent close to 30 new listings and made 17 sales. Many of the homes sold were Momentum’s own listings.
Our team showed three properties each Thursday in the Loreto Bay open house stroll, which drew steady streams of potential buyers. Construction of luxurious new custom residences and other amenities, like garages, really picked up in recent months. Many of Loreto Bay’s original and longtime owners are moving up to larger custom casas. And we welcomed many new property owners to our friendly community with a Momentum housewarming gift basket and help with all of their questions.
One interesting trend we’ve noticed is that many of the recent buyers (and potential buyers) are first-time visitors to Loreto and Loreto Bay who quickly fall in love with our special communities and decide this is it — purchasing a place of their own in as little as a week! Housing ranges from waterfront condominiums to a number of different two- to three-bedroom Villages of Loreto Bay models to stunning custom homes, as well as businesses. Currently, we have over 30 great-value properties and land lots listed for sale in Loreto Bay and surrounding areas. Enjoy listening more about Loreto Bay and its surroundings!
