Momentum with Morris Mott

What happens when you have a vision, start making progress, and suddenly opposition comes?

• Pray, stand your ground, and keep building. You may not finish everything today, but you can take the next faithful step.

Before you can build something new, sometimes you have to clear away what's been left behind.

WHEN GOD GIVES YOU A BURDEN | REBUILD — Week 1

Every rebuilding story has a beginning.

For Nehemiah, it began with a burden.

When he heard about Jerusalem's broken walls, he didn't just hear bad news—he felt it deeply. He prayed, prepared, and eventually stepped into the assignment God had placed before him.

In this episode of Momentum, Morris asks: What has God put on your heart?

Maybe something in your life needs rebuilding. Maybe it's a relationship, your faith, your family, your purpose, or a dream you've nearly given up on.

Don't ignore the burden.

Maybe the burden you're carrying isn't there to crush you. Maybe it's there to call you.

Before Nehemiah picked up a tool, he prayed.

What happens when God puts something on your heart that needs to be rebuilt?

In this episode of Momentum, Morris introduces our upcoming seven-week journey through the book of Nehemiah: REBUILD.

This won't simply be a study about rebuilding an ancient wall. It's a practical, faith-filled look at rebuilding lives, faith, families, purpose, leadership, and vision.

Sometimes rebuilding begins with a burden. Sometimes it requires clearing the rubble. Sometimes we need others to build alongside us. And sometimes we have to keep building when opposition, discouragement, and fatigue show up.

You are not stuck with what has been.

The God who helped Nehemiah rebuild is still in the rebuilding business.

Just because you’ve had some great days doesn’t mean your greatest days are behind you!

In this episode of Momentum with Morris Mott, Pastor Morris encourages us to celebrate what God has done while looking ahead in faith to what He will still do.

Your past is important—but it doesn’t have to determine your future. God is not finished. There are still chapters to write, prayers to answer, people to reach, and things God can do that you haven’t seen yet.

As Ephesians 3:20 reminds us, God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.

You haven’t seen everything God can do yet!

Keep believing. Keep praying. Keep serving. Keep trusting. Keep moving forward.

Because we may not know exactly what tomorrow holds—but we know Who holds tomorrow.

The best is yet to come!

God has blessed you—but not just for you!

In this episode of Momentum with Morris Mott, Pastor Morris Mott shares a powerful reminder from Genesis 12:2: “I will bless you… and you will be a blessing.”

Our blessings are not meant to stop with us. God can use our time, our resources, our gifts, our influence, our encouragement, and our testimony to bless someone else.

Your blessing may be the answer to somebody else's prayer.

So today, ask yourself: “Lord, who can I bless?”

Don't just look for what God can do for you. Look for what God can do through you.

What happens when we stop counting what we're missing and start counting what God has done?

In this episode of Momentum with Morris Mott, Morris continues the Better Than I Deserve series with an encouraging look at Psalm 103 and David's reminder to “forget not all His benefits.”

It's easy to remember the disappointment, the unanswered prayer, the closed door, or the difficult season. But sometimes we need to stop and remember the goodness and faithfulness of God.

The old hymn Count Your Blessings gives us a simple challenge: count them, name them, and remember what the Lord has done.

This week, Morris gives you some homework:

Write down the things God has done for you.

Your answered prayers.

Your second chances.

The people He's placed in your life.

The doors He's opened.

The battles He's brought you through.

And as you begin to count, you may discover something you've overlooked:

You've been blessed more than you've been noticing.

Don't let someone else's blessing make you blind to yours.

Don't just count your problems.

Count your blessings.

And remember:

You are blessed and loved.

By God's amazing grace, you're living better than you deserve.

Sometimes we need to stop and look at the bigger picture.

In this special bridge episode of Momentum with Morris Mott, Pastor Morris reflects on the first three messages in the Better Than I Deserve series:

Grace Changes Everything.
The Gift of Another Day.
Enough.

Together, these messages remind us that God's grace has given us what we could never earn, every new day is a gift, and no matter what circumstances we face, Christ is enough.

But what happens when we put those truths together?

We begin to see our lives differently.

Instead of constantly asking, “What am I missing?” we begin asking, “What has God already given me?”

And that leads us into the next message in the series: “Count Your Blessings,” based on Psalm 103.

David reminds us to “forget not all His benefits.”

So before you listen to the next message, Pastor Morris has a challenge:

Make a list.

Write down what God has done.

The prayers He's answered.

The doors He's opened.

The people He's placed in your life.

The battles He's brought you through.

The blessings you sometimes take for granted.

Because when you start counting...

you may discover you've been blessed more than you've been noticing.

And remember:

You are blessed and loved.

How much is enough?

In this episode of Momentum with Morris Mott, Pastor Morris continues the Better Than I Deserve series with a practical and encouraging look at Philippians 4:11–13 and the powerful lesson of learning contentment.

Paul said, “I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content.”

Whether he had plenty or very little, Paul discovered the secret: his circumstances didn't determine his contentment because Christ was enough.

Pastor Morris talks about the danger of comparison, the difference between having much and having enough, and how gratitude can change the way we see our lives.

You don't have to stop dreaming, believing, or trusting God for more. But you don't have to postpone today's joy while waiting for tomorrow's blessing.

Contentment isn't saying, “I don't want anything else.”

Contentment is saying, “Whatever else comes, Christ is already enough.”

So wherever you are today, remember: You are blessed and loved.

And by God's amazing grace... you're living better than you deserve.
