In today's interview we are joined by celebrity stylist and mom of two, Ali Levine. In this real and raw conversation Ali talks about her experience with postpartum depression-how it felt, what she thinks contributed to it, her lowest moments, how she got help, what worked for her, and what she did differently this time around when she had her second daughter. Most importantly, this conversation is about the importance of sharing postpartum depression stories especially because it affects each person differently, understanding it's more common than you think, that you are never alone and learning what to do if you ever find yourself or a friend feeling depressed after baby. This episode is super powerful and full of tools anyone can use. We've been wanting to interview our husbands for-ev-er! What better way to learn a little more about us, our lives and our marriages than from our significant others?! Brandi had the opportunity to interview her husband, Chris and the conversation feels like we're all a fly on the wall in their home. It's totally unfiltered, off the cuff, real and raw banter between husband and wife and it doesn't get any better than this! We strongly encourage you to try this out with your partner as a way to connect and do a little relationship "check-in". The questions they discuss are below but you can totally come up with ones of your own.

Never easy sharing a scary accident especially when it involves our children but Brandi is sharing something that happened to her baby in hopes that it won't happen to you. Keeping our homes safe is important especially when children get injured (or worse) by 100% preventable accidents that happen in our homes. There are so many things we can to do to try and keep our families as safe as possible when they are in our four walls...because a split second can change everything.

When we sat down with Bravo’s Real Housewives of Potomac star Monique Samuels it was to talk about her book, “Potty Training Mommy & Daddy: A Guide for Introducing Infant Potty Training As Early As 6 Months.” But within minutes of our conversation it was hugely apparent that this interview was so much more than just how to get our babies potty trained at a young age. This conversation goes deep into purposeful parenting and how potty training as young as 6 months is just one example of the ways we can foster independence in our children. There are so many powerful moments in this interview where Monique shares her parenting perspective and how every day there are things we can do in our own homes with our children that matter and make a difference.

"Mothers are supposed to be martyr-like in our patience. We are not supposed to want to hit our kids or to tear out our hair. We hide these urges, because we are afraid to be labeled “bad moms."--Minna Dubin's The Rage Mothers Don't Talk About https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/15/parenting/mother-rage.html
Today's guest is one you'll be hearing about for a long time. Listen as we talk to writer, artist, educator Minna Dubin about mom rage and all its forms. From the shame surrounding mom rage to the bigger issue behind it...this conversation is big and it's a necessary one we need to talk about more. How can we control our rage and the emotions behind it? What can we do to be better? How can we change the conversation around motherhood and mom rage? And what do we tell our children?
