Moms Have No Party

Dot reads a letter she wrote her neighbors at the start of the Trump government shut down. As someone who's spent equal time outside of Washington as she has in, it's a reflection on the folks she knows at the heart of this grand, and administratively violent civil war we're in: the public and those who serve them. One part epistle, one part rant, she's recording her thoughts so that one day they'll be accessible to her grandkids or their kids, because these are "interesting times" as the saying goes. Women's voices are all too often lost to history, especially mothers, so while it's just a drop in the ocean compared to the mega media debating the news, these are the simple thoughts of a tired, concerned, and country-loving mom who just hopes we survive.

This ones sluggish, unhinged, and a bit all over the place but we run down our favorite Facebook comment fights about worst gifts, and whether we should be bragging about how well we're surviving the Trump dumpster fire.
