This week, NEWS.MC TV brings you the latest updates from Monaco, beginning with the Principality’s support for a museum dedicated to Humbert de Bathernay, an ancestor of the Grimaldi dynasty. Strengthening its historical ties with Bathernay, Monaco has contributed to preserving the legacy of this influential advisor to French kings.


Motorsport fans gathered for the 27th edition of the Monte-Carlo Historic Rally, which saw over 230 crews from 26 countries navigate legendary routes in a celebration of vintage racing. The event highlighted the enduring passion for classic motorsport and the technical skill required to master these historic machines.


In medical advancements, the Centre Hospitalier Princesse Grace (CHPG) has taken a significant step forward in cancer treatment. Thanks to a generous €1.3 million donation from Sir Lordord Ladl, the hospital has introduced two cutting-edge technologies, reinforcing Monaco’s commitment to world-class healthcare.


The Rainier III Auditorium recently hosted the grand finale of the fourth edition of the Mozart in Monaco festival. Conducted by Kazuki Yamada, the closing symphonic concert brought an end to a spectacular celebration of the legendary composer’s works.


Monaco’s iconic Stade Louis II marked its 40th anniversary, celebrating four decades as a hub for sporting excellence and cultural significance. The venue has been home to AS Monaco and numerous international events, cementing its legacy in the sporting world.


At a press conference on February 6, David Massey, Tournament Director of the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters, confirmed that the 2025 edition will take place from April 5 to 13 at the Monte-Carlo Country Club. The event remains a premier fixture in the ATP calendar, attracting top-tier tennis talent.


In tennis, Monaco fought hard in the Davis Cup but ultimately fell 3-2 to Portugal in a tightly contested tie at the Monte Carlo Country Club. The team displayed resilience, pushing their opponents to the limit in an intense doubles battle.


On the basketball front, AS Monaco’s Mike James reached a career milestone of 5,000 points as the Roca Team secured a 92-85 victory over Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz in Round 25 of the EuroLeague. His achievement solidifies his place among Europe’s top players.
