I want you to practice something. This will be hard. The next invitation that comes in, unless it’s a HECK YES, say no.
If there is an invitation that lights you up and you cannot WAIT to yes to, then say yes. Even if you have to move some things around to make it happen. We want to fill our world with things that bring us joy and bring out the best in us.
But the opposite is also true. If you get an invitation in your inbox and immediately you think, “Ugh, that is the last thing I want to put in our schedule,” then reply no. If it gives you anxiety and you have to jump through hoops to make it work, it may not be worth it.
