This is an episode with a very impactful topic: how outdated accounting disables innovation. This understated subject covers how bank lending works, and why banks see a complex operational business through a very disfunctional lense.

Gender issues are something I wanted to talk about for a while, turns out coming out as trans femenine created the perfect oportunity to talk about it. This episode talks about gender. My dangerous descision to define men and women seperately. And the idea that consistency is in short supply which has fueled the crotchety sides of conservatism in todays America.

If violence is the last resort of the incompetent, then competence is the avenue of non-violence.

The conversation about energy and it's early effect on economics happens around 5:27 of that video.

Transformative Econ refers to the concept of focusin on transformative value instead of extractive business. I go over a few examples of how this applies in cooking and software companies and explain the background and reason why I'm building the Caneka runtime software system.

As I reflect on the decades of work history I have, I'm somewhat interested in how little I expected from employers and how much that has cost me.

Two concepts that are blowing my mind, money is less important that justice or democracy, and maybe we don't have to change capitalism at all, just put it in it's place! And the best things in human achievement are areas of work that extend what other people have worked on. Notably these accomplishments don't have leaders and don't value visionary leadership.

Down right unamerican to downgrade money and leadership, but hey it is actually more realistic to look at what has real meaning in life and what has been accomplishment by groups of humans instead of individual humans.

Are data-centers grow-house bunkers? Does greed run the economy? These are both questions I believe I have debunked and while the comfort of their falsity is nice the concerns is raises are also unsettling.

Join me for another not-so-peppy pep talk, where I'm both inspired and profoundly saddened, but still inspired.

Speculating on the concept of how to effect your life deeply by creating scenarios rather than wishing things changed. And a potential theory about why American's have such an unhealthy relationship with limits.

A look at the kind of things you have to do to be good at vs the kinds of things you can know once and always be able to do. This comparison is applied to the idea of transformative business, which is different than territory business, and could be the next wave of value and true wealth.

A look at the sterilization goal of American culture in our food and our avoidence of drama. Also our fascination with drama in entertainment. I do dive into my history of experiencing suicidal behaviour, and a puzzling aspect of capitalism that I have no solution for.
