In this episode we take a peek in the wonderful world of MOKIPOPS - a black owned, woman owned, kids created, all vegan, non-dairy, no refined sugars, handcrafted healthy popsicle business. MOKIPOPS operates out of Atlanta, GA, USA - currently they have a consumer base across America, but it has the trajectory of an international powerhouse enterprise! The inception of MOKIPOPS started one summer when Amber and her husband, Kibwe, challenged their three intuitive and savvy children to do something creative and innovative. The children, without hesitation, said they wanted to start a business. Along the way their children have learned many life lessons that has advanced them far beyond their years. In this episode I had the pleasure of talking to Amber Khan-Robinson, mother, entrepreneur, wife, and business woman and we had an informative dialogue about what it takes to successfully run a family business. We cover many important topics like challenging children and not underestimating their potential, intelligence, and their business acumen. We also discuss the initial steps in starting a family business and what is necessary for sustaining the business and upscaling it. To learn more about MOKIPOPS go to their instagram page @mokipops.
