Brief Bio: Stephanie Vaught is native Detroiter who earned a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University in 2000 and a Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2007. Stephanie has spent the bulk of her professional career in law and community advocacy.
However, in 2015, after spending years learning financial literacy and money management to improve her own financial knowledge, Stephanie decided to make a career shift into personal finance. She became a certified financial coach and founded Social Money Finance, LLC, a personal finance company that specializes in helping Gen X women make empowered financial decisions through the principles of effective money management. She has made it her mission to encourage Gen X women to lean into their life experience, own their own power, and build a life they love.
