Money Talks! with Lynn Kitchen

Already, there are only eight weeks or so to the end of the year 2022. And not that much time left to plan for the holiday season.

And so I thought I would take this opportunity to pause a moment; I think it's very, very good for women just to pause before the holidays begin. Let's make a conscious effort to pause and create some time for ourselves around our money. And really begin to be a conscious planner. Be conscious about what we're doing to plan for our success going forward for our success, success to end the year well, and also our success in handling the holidays ahead.

Would that be fun for you? I'm hoping that it would.

And we have really had and continuation with the Federal Reserve this last week announcing, indeed, higher interest rates; they raised interest rates by three-quarters of 1% last week, and they announced that that's just the beginning, or at least they're not going to be ending anytime soon, there are hell-bent on making sure that inflation is going to be knocked down. And as you all can, I'm sure, feel it is true, these inflationary prices are extremely worrisome. And with the interest rates moving up, we very much will have the year-end filled with mixed emotions and mixed volatility ahead in terms of both markets.

So it's a rocky time; we're right in this place where planning ahead is probably the very, very best thing that we can do.

Thank you, and welcome to once again Money talks for women, where I really believe that it's time that we open the door and look at what it is that we are doing with our money, how we can do better, and how we can talk more about better ways that we can prosper. And certainly, my idea is to create wealth in the long run for more women.

Nobody likes change, right?
 
However, it's the one thing we can all count on. Change and taxes. Change is what we base our lives on. If we didn't have change, everything would stay the same. And maybe that's not so good, either. The last time that I was broadcasting the money talks for women, I actually was doing it from the front seat of my car, because I didn't have Wi-Fi in the hotel where my family and I had evacuated in Central Florida, trying to get out of the rages of hurricane IAN. Well, that was several weeks ago; now we're back in our homes, we're back. And you know, coming back to normal normalcy. But certainly, lots of changes have happened in the last several weeks, both in my life and in the markets. But I did want to take an opportunity to share my heartfelt thanks to you for welcoming me back home and being concerned about my welfare.

Our prayers continue to go out to those who have lost their homes.

And I'm just so grateful to have had a home to come back to and really praying all the time for those who are less fortunate, who have had a very, very difficult time coming back to normalcy. October is really a month to prepare yourselves, ladies, for financial volatility. So this is a time of change, for sure. And indeed, the markets are really at a precipice we had just an inkling of a possibility of a rebound this week in the stock market, as valuations got so low that the buyers started coming back in at least for two days. But the strength of that buyback didn't seem to last, and so we're really flirting right now we're flirting, we're on the precipice of the possibility that more sellers could overtake the markets. And that can happen with just one more piece of negative financial news or information that comes. We were deloused with negative financial news, especially in England. So truth be told, if the markets do come down in the USA for the rest of October and the end of the year, we could be in line for some capitulation.

I do believe that the year 2022 is up for grabs in terms of perhaps a record making year in especially in financial terms of changes, shifts and alternate plans being needed. So once again, this is Lynn kitchen with money talks for women. I welcome you I'm thankful for you to be here with me today. I certainly do know that many of you have written to me, and thanked me over the last several weeks for the prior times in which we have been introducing to you what to do with your money now that we are in a brand new era of inflation.  And are we in a recession and what to do with our money?  I welcome you to Money talks for women. This has been such a wonderful opportunity for me to bring to women. My knowledge from my first career in money management, professional money management in which I was a 34 year professional money manager and investment advisor.

This is a time ladies once again, to be extremely and ultra careful. Make sure that your investments are in recession proof  areas and make sure that you've got some cash on the sideline ready and willing for you to be able to reinvest later if the markets do come down. But in the meantime, make sure that you have plenty of safety built in with those really high quality dividend paying stocks which will help you to maintain and protect you moving forward for long for long term security. So with that, I'm hoping that I've that I've given you a little bit of of something to think about.  This is not a time when people should be looking at
making high risk investments.

Money Talks For Women - Episode 3 
Two Topics: Your Sovereign Power of the Purse; and Recession Question for the Day: Are We In A Recession Now, and What Does That Mean For My Money?

I do believe we are entering into a brand new world in which women are a part of a new watershed moment in our history. We are on the brink of a brand new era ladies, I’m calling this a charge to lead forward for compassionate capitalism and sustainable economic growth.

Now more than ever, that is heart-centered in heart-based values. And this new era calls for more of us to bring forth our money power, our money health, our well-being so that we are fully integrated women with not only skill sets and being healthy in every way, mentally healthy, physically strong, but also financially strong, financially literate and financially skillful so that we can bring to the world all of the economic power that we have to bring.

This includes understanding more about the money markets and understanding the dangers and pitfalls that we may be experiencing in our future. Bringing to the world future opportunities for each one of us. Each one of us is bringing forth the very best impact that we have and that we want to add to the world so that this world can be a better place. Would you say yes to that? I’m so excited about being here at Money Talks for Women because it allows me to teach again. That was my first career, 34 years in the investment advisory world on Wall Street. I was one of the first women on the west coast to have my own broker dealership at a very, very young age. It really was an accomplishment looking back.

To have an opportunity to be a money manager to help people to create wealth over time, it was probably one of the most exciting things I ever did. I eventually went into business with three other partners and formed a second investment advisory firm. So a total of 34 years in the investment advisory world not to mention teaching investment courses. And I’m excited I get a chance to teach again after being retired for about 10 years. During which I was doing other things that I was passionate about, like creating a national cable television show called World’s Greatest Motivators. I am now dedicating my life to helping women to go create financial wealth and it feels good once again to reach back into my past and bring the knowledge forward and share with you share with all of you ladies, because it’s important now is our time.

I’m circling back around, ladies, I’m circling back around because I understand that now is an economic time. Beyond all others, this can be our time, ladies. We are the ones we are the Vanguard it’s up to us.

When 2 bouts of cancer (stage 4) interrupted my 34-year career as a financial executive and 10 years as a licensed spiritual practitioner, I “attempted” to retire while nursing the question, “Is that all there is?

Thinking time was running out, I urgently sought out and studied with new mentors, thought leaders in the personal development industry including Dr. Wayne Dyer, Les Brown, Michael Beckwith, Bob Proctor, Mary Morrissey, Blaine Bartlett and others. Inspired to explore what else I could dream up, I became a tv producer and produced my BIG DREAM, the national cable tv series, “World’s Greatest Motivators”, now distributed internationally with the intention to foster the “can-do” spirit in us all.

Along the way, I’ve met hundreds of women colleagues who are truly making a real impact in this world, yet I notice a glaring financial gap:  they may dream big, but they lack real-world financial know-how to fund their dreams sustainably and create lasting generational wealth.
