In 2010, Monica Burgos and Bruce Beresford-Redman take a family vacation with their 2 children to Cancun. Their marriage is on the rocks, but this trip is a chance for them to start over. However, only a few days into the trip, Monica is found on the resort property having been murdered. Bruce is immediately considered a suspect and flees back to America. His lawyer points out Monica is not the first person to die mysteriously at this resort. Would Bruce be found guilty of murdering his wife, or was something more sinister going on at that resort?
