We talk about his experiences with Texas-style smoked brisket - making it, eating it, serving people with meals - all of it. Then we get into the reason he loves food and is an intuitive chef. He talks about how his grandmother taught him cooking techniques and how his father smoked pig Filipino-style, Lechon, for family gatherings and customers.

I was curious to look into the life of a young female mini moto racer. So I invited a local young racer, Finley, and her father, Ray to Monki Moto Pod studio to talk about their life supporting Finley race motorcycles.

Finley has impressed me since I met her. She is well spoken for her age and considers building her own skill while being a courteous racer to others at the track. Ray has been through his own racing experiences and enlightens me on things that a parent who supports their child racing needs to think about.

You might be surprised to learn how she got into motorcycles and how her mindset has grown from participating in the sport.

Ever wondered why they say tunnel vision is fatal? It is—if it’s all you focus on. Most people have 180 degrees of vision, but what if you only had 20?

My guest, Henry, has a condition called Retinitis pigmentosa (RP), a disorder that causes progressive vision loss. He rides a Victory and a Honda ST1300 as his daily commuter through Los Angeles traffic. He tells us tips on how to be a more aware rider, how he navigates his visual impairment on a bike, and how to get a car for less than dealer asking price.

But that’s not all—Henry is also a former California state record holder in the dead-lift at 667 lbs and is training for an incredible 700 lb attempt to reclaim the record.
