Most of the arguments people have about monogamy are actually arguments about something else entirely.
Monogamy is a value. Something you choose and practice inside a relationship, the way you'd choose honesty or accountability. Commitment to a person is different. It's about building a life together, showing up through the hard parts, choosing each other over time.
These two things have been bundled together for so long that most people have never stopped to examine whether they're actually the same.
In this episode I'm making that distinction clearly, looking at why the conflation happens on both sides of the conversation, and asking a question I think is more useful than the one most people are arguing about.
This isn't an argument for or against any particular relationship structure. It's an argument for actually knowing what you're choosing and why.
