We're back to Videogame Movies this week, and while we are apparently unexpected experts on Christophe Ganz films, neither of us have played Silent Hill. So we brought in gaming foul-mouth Deadbeat Punk to help us out as we rant 2006's mixed bag "Silent Hill. We love it (kinda), he hates it, but we still find plenty to rant about from giant Zippo flames to the difficult to understand concept of Torches, the obvious music of Johnny Cash, irresponsible parents, renaming characters, accusations of nonce-ness and wasting all of Punk's good material because we never stay on track.

Ciara can't get enough of long haired 90's action guys (it reminds her of a pre-balding Mono) so we're talking her favourite Nicolas Cage villain filled action fest with 1997's "Con Air". They say good things come in threes, and apparently so do apocalypse movies, as this week we take a look back(forward?) at our favourite time travel mindf**k "12 Monkeys". So grab your chemical restraints (DRUGS!!) and relax with  this rant about Mono wanting more ambiguity, Ciara enjoying the working girls, barely referencing the hamster but repeatedly referencing the show, not understanding the hobo, Cole's primal violence and the sad sad tale of Semmelweis.

We love zombies and we love Paul WS Anderson (even when he's Len Wiseman), so we combined the two this week with the sequel spawning "Resident Evil". It may not be our favourite of the franchise, but find out why we still love it in this rant about directors naked wives, whether it's really AI if it doesn't murder people, killing too many of your characters in the best scene of the film, zombies that don't like the taste of people, mysterious blue liquids, shitty CG schematics and exactly 51 cubes.

It's time to rescue the president's daughter from space prison with 2012's action sci-fi "Lockout". It may not be the most original, but it's sure as hell fun. So wake up crazy from stasis with this rant about pretending Irish is an alien language, Scottish Psychos being the most fun, stasis not being a good replacement for prison sentences, a very forgettable president, Ciara forgetting just, everything and Mono coining a new term for the oceans.

We're off to Russia this week to jump back into one of our favourite fictional worlds with 2004's visually stunning, narratively complicated Urban Fantasy "Night Watch". We love the films, we love the books, but we know how to separate the two in this rant about adaptions standing on their own merits, authors with shitty worldviews, a messy protagonist that could teach Tom Hardy a thing or two, how vagueness can be a good thing, some Winnie the Pooh comparisons and being denied a trilogy in favour of a shitty Hollywood movie.

It's well and truly winter now, so we're off to Norway for some good old fashioned undead Nazi mayhem with 2009's "Dead Snow". It's one of the best examples of Scandinavian horror comedy and even though it's a bit of a slow start, we can't get enough. So make sure your Nokia is charged as you follow the snowmobile tracks into this rant about meh characters but amazing deaths, breaking into other horror movies, our disdain for Black Metal, Ciara bigging up Finland in a Norwegian film and Mono cowering from Black Metallers.
