Owing to the heat, the special cocktail and their evident joy at being together within 6 to 8 feet of each other, Mary, Scott and Dave are even giddier than usual. Please accept their profound apologies for the silliness . . .

"The Count" cocktail.

1.oz. cognac
1 oz. sweet red vermouth
1 oz. Italian red bitter liqueur

Stir with ice and strain into a chilled glass.
