Moon Logic Podcast

In this episode, we’re talking shareware, those free game demos that showed up on every family computer in the ‘90s. We look back at the ones we played the most, the random CD-ROMs we somehow ended up with, and whether anyone actually sent a check to a PO Box to unlock the full version.

Then we swapped childhood favorites and each tried three shareware games the other remembers loving, but we somehow missed.

In Episode 4 we’re talking about the unsung heroes of adventure games: NPCs. Whether they gave you a crucial item, delivered a line you still quote to this day, or just stood around being weird in the background, these Non-Playable Characters were the heart, soul, and unintentional comedy of so many memorable moments. Expect laughs, nostalgia, and a few tangents as we recall the characters that stuck with us long after the credits rolled.

Today we’re talking moon logic: those wild puzzles that made zero sense and yet somehow worked. From monkey wrenches to cat hair mustaches, we’re diving into the love-hate relationship adventure gamers have with the weirdest design choices of all time.

We’re back for part two! This time, we’re talking favorite point-and-click games, Police Quest chaos, playing with friends, and all the weird, wonderful stuff that made old-school gaming so fun (and frustrating).

In our first episode, we talk about how we got into gaming, from early console favorites to our love for adventure games. We cover the games that shaped us, memories of mall arcades, and how those memories still influence us today.
