Moorish/Indigenous Roots in America- Alim Bey

The hidden history of America extends far deeper than conventional narratives suggest. In this eye-opening conversation, Dr. Alim Bey joins Ron Brown to explore compelling evidence that challenges everything we thought we knew about Black Americans' origins.

What if Black Americans weren't brought to America in chains but were instead the original inhabitants of this continent? Dr. Bey presents archaeological evidence of human presence in America dating back millions of years—footprints preserved in stone, advanced metal artifacts embedded in 600-million-year-old rock, and skeletal remains with Negroid features from strata dating back 2.5 million years. These findings, many housed in prestigious institutions like Harvard's Peabody Museum and the American Museum of Natural History, directly contradict the narrative that humans first arrived in America merely 12,000 years ago.

The conversation explores the etymology of "Moor," tracing it to ancient "Meru" or "Maroo," and establishes genetic connections between modern Black Americans and these ancient peoples. Dr. Bey suggests that Native Americans are actually a mixture of indigenous Black populations with later Chinese migrants (circa 459 AD) and European DNA, citing genetic studies showing tribes like the Cree possess approximately 20% Black genetic markers. This perspective fundamentally redefines who constitutes a "native" American versus who is truly "indigenous."

Perhaps most provocatively, Dr. Bey connects indigenous Black Americans to ancient civilizations including the Olmecs, Lemurians, and Atlanteans, citing the United Nations' 1993 recognition of the Ouachita/Washitaw as "the oldest indigenous civilization on Earth." He suggests the suppression of this narrative stems from concerns about legitimizing land claims that would fundamentally alter American power structures.

Whether you're a history buff, identity scholar, or simply curious about alternative historical narratives, this conversation will leave you questioning conventional wisdom and hungry to explore the evidence for yourself.
