More Geek Than Gay

Joseph got called out for Joshua Tree duties, so I rearranged my notes and here we go

First, a thank you for everyone checking in on us!

Then I talk about America's Got Talent without talking about the winner, I hope.  And Patrick of Screamqueenz had given a second movie for homework, so what the heck, I talk about the Australian horror/comedy, 100 Bloody Acres.

"He wants my potassium!"

A bonus song by previous America's Got talent contestant Butterscotch, who I hope gets an album out there someday.

Thank you all and we look forward to your comments.

[darn it - an error in the file.  Let's try this again.]

We've been gone a while.  So, yeah, there's that.

But we are back now.  And refocused.  Like a daily podcast refocus.  (although that might take a week or two to get up to speed - we shall see).

For right now, I am here to catch you up with why we have been missing and what I think we are doing with the future.

Also, taking a prompt from Patrick of Screamqueenz, I give a quick review of the 2013 movie, "Odd Thomas".  And then I tell you about my night with Miles Davis Moody of Rupaul's Drag Race.

Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to your comments!

Joseph went to San Diego Comic Con, and I went mildly insane.

But it was short at least.

I am still in a bit of a fuzz over school and work, so to be honest, I don't remember what all we talked about.

I know that Joseph talked about his upcoming trip to San Diego Comic Con and some television stuff, and I ranted about comic books.  And there had to be other stuff...let's find out what it all was together.  Yes?

I do recall a quick shoutout to Patrick of Screamqueenz Horror Podcast.  So give him a listen.  And share our love for Boom Boom LaRue's!

I was off with work and school, so Joseph took over for me.

What happened?  I dunno.

But he gave me a list.  Let's see, he said he talked about Gini Koch and Marsheila Rockwell, the World Cup, and some TV stuff - Arrow, America'a Got Talent, Extant, and So You Think You Can Dance.

So...we will all find out together, I guess.

Thank you for your support and make sure to leave your comments.  (and 5 star revues on iTunes would be ever so helpful)

Joseph is back!

He was off at Phoenix ComiCon and then with Gini Koch, but now he is back.

And tired.

And maybe has allergies.  Or a cold.

But this episode is basically all about catching up with him.

If you stick it out, there is also a little snippet from a panel at Phoenix ComiCon, which features Gini Koch, Jim Butcher, and other authors talking about humor in writing.

And for Comic Book Storytime, issue #19 of Ms Marvel, by Chris Claremont and Carmine Infantino.  Ms. Marvel meets up with Captain Marvel!  No, not that Captain Marvel.  Nor that one.  And definitely not that one.  You'll find out.

And on Friday, we launch Math Monkeys - mathmonkeys.libsyn.com/webpageand Four Color StoryTime - fourcolorstorytime.libsyn.com/webpagewoot!

thank you all for your support and we look forward to hearing from you.

Trying out new equipment, and Joseph is still not here.  That catches you up to speed here.

I know you are all curious about Phoenix ComiCon, so I launch into my schedule.

But first I give my thoughts on Hotel Transylvania and Creatures from the Pink Lagoon - the latter of which you can thank Patrick of ScreamQueenz for.

Then it is all about Phoenix ComiCon.  Or at least my experience with Phoenix ComiCon.  Some Andy Kubert, Fon Davis, Gini Koch, Stan Lee, Jordan Summers, Delilah Dawson and others...and you get to find out why I am looking for furries. And I talk about not talking about two panels.

By the way, I am still waiting for those RPG stories.

This weeks Comic Book Storytime is Wonder Woman in "The Riddle of the Talking Lion" from Sensation Comics 18.  1943, gang!

Thank you all for everything we look forward to hearing from you all...
