  • Is A Vision Board For You?

Have you ever considered making a vision board? I've been doing one for about the past 6 years and can say that it has helped me reach my goals. However, vision boards aren't just a set it and forget it type of thing. It's only one step that you can add to your goal setting routine.

As we enter a new year, many of you may be considering creating a vision board for the first time and many of you may think it's a bunch of bs and not worth the time. If you're not going to do this one thing, though, it is absolutely a waste of time. Listen in for some basic info on vision boards and the one thing you must do to make them worth your time.

  • The Pros And Cons Of Digital Courses

Have you ever thought about purchasing an online course? You may have already, there's one for just about anything out there. I personally am a big fan and have purchased several. In this episode I point out some of the pros and cons of online courses. I'll also point out a few of the differences of what a course will do for you versus having a private coach.

My own course, The Career Reset, will be available soon. So it seemed appropriate to sort all of this out here on the podcast. In my own course I'm adding a VIP experience you can upgrade to that, in my opinion, gives you the best of both worlds...a course AND private coaching (and at a price I think you'll like!) More details on that soon!!

  • Who Are You Staying For?

I've compared your relationship to your career with personal relationships in past episodes. In this one we cover one question people going through divorce often face...Should you stay married for the kids? So in this brief but meaningful episode I show you how this type of thinking can also come up when you're thinking about changing careers or leaving a job. Answering this one question can make you realize why you're hesitant to leave and hopefully that it's usually better to make the change in careers or your job when you're thinking this. Come gain some quick clarity!

  • Getting A Few Things Off My Chest

This episode is kind of a mixed bag of a few things that I needed to vent about. Really, it's purpose is to bring them to your attention (they may be already) and to help you gain some perspective or even to just show you that it's okay to complain sometimes. We are human, with opinions and feelings, and it's healthy to vent. I think sometimes we see such bigger problems in the world that we don't feel like we can talk about little things that get on our nerves, but I'm here to tell you that you can AND it can be healthy. Just don't let it consume you.

I would also like to say here in the notes (if you actually read them), that I'm thankful to you for being a listener. I'm by no means a big podcast (yet!) but I love the ones who show up every week to listen and the new listeners that happen to find me. Thank you!

  • Uncovering Your Mental BS With Work

In this week's episode of Your Career Your Life, I will be walking you through 4 questions to help you see how your past could be shaping your current relationship with work. This isn't a quest to find excuses or blame your current career on your past, it's more about uncovering some hidden connections you may not realize are there. My hope is that you can use this information to let go of some mental BS you have about working and to form a better relationship in general with work.

I will guide you through these questions and give you a peek into my own BS as I read my answers from my own journal. I was actually surprised by my own answers and it's only helped me form a healthier coexistence with my career and working.
