We’re kicking off a brand new mini-series on the podcast this week: an extensive and appreciative talk about our current most favorite movies ever. Somebody cue the celebration horns!
🎉 🎉 🎉
Over these five episodes, Steven and Sean are going to be sharing their favorite movies with each other and then they’re going to gush about those stupendous films. What better place to celebrate our love for these movies than a podcast that celebrates loving movies?
Funny how life works out like that.
In-store for you, this week is one of Steven’s favorite films. Coming out in 2008, the somber, yet life-affirming, Seven Pounds kicks things off. Honestly, is there anything Will Smith can’t turn into a moving, enjoyable watching experience? This man has always had major talent and he shows it off like crazy here. Get the tissue box ready for this one because you’re going to need it.
Up next is one of Sean’s favorite movies, The Grand Budapest Hotel. If you’re any sort of a Wes Anderson fan, then you likely already know this one. It’s an energetic, glorious romp across a fictional Europe, with the main centerpiece of the fabulous, titular hotel. It came out in 2014 and has been delighting us ever since.
Both of these films have always meant a lot to us and we’re thrilled to share them with you today. This is a series we’ve been talking about doing for a while. It’s been long in the making, but it’s here for you now.
So get into it and tune in again for part 2!
