On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are just trying to be a good parent for our moody son. We watched the 2025 film from Macon Blair, The Toxic Avenger.

If you go by what media like Batman and this movie are telling us, then there should be many more people who have either been scarred by or acquired superpowers from toxic waste. Are movies lying to us?

Whatever the case may be, this one will make for an excellent way to celebrate Steven’s birthday. It’s going to be a bloody good time!

On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are trying to save our families while out for a fancy dinner. We watched the 2025 film from Christopher Landon, Drop.

Is there anything worse than dressing up, meeting a nice hunk, and sitting down to a delicious meal only for some annoying weirdo to start AirDropping you F-grade memes all night?

If you want to know the answer to that question, then give this movie a watch and follow it up by giving this episode a listen.

Spoiler alert!!!!!!!!!

On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are wrapping up the year with a gruesome double feature. We watched the 2019 film from Sophia Takal, Black Christmas and the 2023 film from Tyler MacIntyre, It’s a Wonderful Knife.

Whether you’re fighting for your life by battling a murderous frat house hive mind or traveling to a different reality where your father is a serial killer, you’re always going to have a decent time when it’s snowy out.

So happy holidays from us here at More Movies Please! While we hope you’ve had a good year watching excellent movies with us, we don’t actually wish that you’ll have to narrowly avert death at the hands of a Christmas killer.

On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are trying to convince the jerks of the world that they can be good. We watched the 2022 film from Sean Anders, Spirited.

A real jerk-wad is mean to everyone and revels in it. He’s shown snippets of his life, past, present, and yet to come. He totally messes his pants in fear and turns his life around for the better.

Oh, you think this is A Christmas Carol? How wrong you are, dear listener. It may clearly be based on Dickens’s classic, but this one has songs, dancing, and one gruesome death. Have a blast with this holiday episode!

On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are off on a magical adventure to the North Pole! We watched the 2004 film from Robert Zemeckis, The Polar Express.

We are curious, if we exhibit signs of doubting the existence of Santa Claus, does that mean we too can be whisked away by some version of Tom Hanks to be proven wrong? If that’s possible, then Santa who? What Claus?

That might not have been why our Hero Boy had his suspicions, but it sure as heck worked out well for him. He got to drink the tastiest hot chocolate ever! He made new friends! He met the real freaking Santa Claus! Lucky kid.

On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are turning into something a little more holly-jolly. We watched the 1994 film by John Pasquin, The Santa Clause.

Don’t you just hate it when you’re accidentally responsible for the untimely death of ol’ Saint Nick, and then inadvertently become the new Santa Claus? It’s a tale as old as time, you know?

That’s exactly what happened to Scott Calvin in this movie. Luckily, he rose to the occasion. He became the magical being that the world needs. Would either of us do the same? Well, the huge amount of milk and cookies certainly helps!

On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are on a mission to prove that Santa Claus is real. We watched the 1947 film from George Seaton, Miracle on 34th Street.

Look, this is a great and heartwarming movie. It brought joy to our lives. However, we’ve got a bone to pick with some of the people in it—who in their right mind would ever go after Santa like that?

What, are they asking for eternal coal in their stockings? Are they trying to make the reindeer cry? Sure, you need conflict in a story, but dang, those sure are some naughty boys. Don’t know what I’m talking about? Listen on to find out!

On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are saving the world from alien zombies using the power of rock! We watched the 1999 film from Tetsuro Takeuchi, Wild Zero.

Forget The Walking Dead. Forget 28 Days Later. Forget George Romero even, because this movie has got the craziest zombie fighters you’ve ever seen! The music will save you and Guitar Wolf is bringing the music.

To cap off this month of international movies, we’re bringing you one of the crazier B-movies we’ve seen. Listen on to hear if we rate this a Brilliant, a Flunder, or the dreaded Blunder.

On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are trying to keep this village from tearing itself apart. We watched the 2011 film from Nadine Labaki, Where Do We Go Now?

Leave it up to the men of the world to take a good thing, like a tight-knit Lebanese community, and screw everything up because of what’s in the news. See, this is why we can’t have nice things!

If you ever needed more of a reason why women should be running the world, then this movie is for you. Enjoy this new episode about a wonderful and moving film.

On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are slurping up a new, delicious movie. We watched the 1985 film from Jūzō Itami, Tampopo.

Is there anything more warming, more lovely than a steaming bowl of ramen prepared with expert care and placed with quiet pride in front of your salivating mouth? If there is, then I don’t know what it could be.

What I do know is that this “noodle western” is a joyous good time. Trust me, if you want to be delighted (or just want motivation to chow down on a heap of noodles), then this is the one for you.
