It’s July 25th and it’s the 2nd episode of our 5th season. welcome dear listener. I’m Paul and I am joined by Daz and Haitham. We are here to talk more about how we are shaping up for the coming season. Thanks for joining us. 

Part One - On the Field:

  • 4-2 over Karlsruher - what was good and what still needs work?
    • Gakpo and Jota looked impressive together
    • Diaz - still question marks?
    • Scanlon and McConnell?
    • Mac Allister and Dom looked quietly efficient
    • Klopp said they needed more tactical discipline - the press, the defensive line
    • 4-4 Greuther Furth
      • ‘Got to watch a training session - don’t read too much into it’
      • 2nd half defending - Gomez, Matip, Tsimikas? Team with Elliott, Salah and Nunez doesn’t press as well as it should?
      • Darwin Nunez - 90 minutes 3 goals - 100% shots on target
      • First half control - Bradley and Doak. Diaz, Jota, Gakpo and Mac Allister

        • Part Two - Off the field:

        • Saudi Arabia as a destination of choice?
          • Money, morals and big cups.
          • ‘This is definitely nothing to do with his dogs’.
          • What do the Reds need?
            • Midfield (definitely one more said Jurgen), another defender?
            • Levi Colwill looks impossible right now.
            • Someone’s confirmed the Romeo Lavia bid. No one has any interest in giving Man City more than they have to.
