Episode 5! Mental health is an important topic to discuss, now more than ever. I, personally, have experienced difficulty with my mental health my whole life and I discuss that in more detail in this episode. I pull from my own experience in order to start a dialogue about what has worked for me in the past and in the present in regards to coping & healing. I do not want to pretend I know what is best for those who have experienced different or more difficult mental health issues than myself, and because of that my knowledge/ability to speak about depression, anxiety, and mental health in general may be limited. It is important to always be open to conversations about mental health because of the powerful stigma that is woven into society. Stigma has silenced many individuals on speaking about and seeking help for their own mental health concerns - myself having been one of them. I urge anyone and everyone to try therapy to see if it's for you, and to start normalizing checking in on your friends and family. You may surprise yourself, and you may become a better and healthier version of you because of it. Thank you for listening, take care of yourself. ❤️
