More Than a Pastor

What if the key to success in life is built around your personal relationships with others? And the more meaningful personal relationships you have, the more likely you are to enjoy personal, business, and financial success?

That's the premise behind the new book, The Wealth of Connection: A New Approach to Making Business Personal Again, by my friend Vincent Pugliese.

This book impacted me to much that I began to highlight everything that spoke to me, and then I stopped because I'd end up highlighting the whole thing.

I recorded this episode originally as a video for YouTube...and I unbox my signed copy of the book, which I received from the author. You can watch the video, and find links mentioned in this episode, over at www.morethanapastor.com/21.

Welcome to this special recap edition of More Than a Pastor show. In just a minute, you’re going to hear me do a debrief, recap, and summary of our most recent interview with Les Hughes and Jon Sanders of EntrePastors, with my big takeaways.

But before we do that, people often ask me, what’s the most important thing pastors need in order to be successful in creating income outside the church through their own business or side hustle? My answer is…community with other pastors who are on the same journey. That’s why I’ve launched a FREE private Facebook group just for pastors like you and me, where we can ask questions, get feedback on our ideas, and find the support and encouragement we need on our journey to income freedom. Join today at morethanapastor.com/facebook.

I originally recorded this podcast as a video on YouTube. You can watch the video, and get the show notes for today's episode, over at morethanapastor.com/20.

What do Gen Z, progressive theology, racial justice, and LGBTQ have to do with the future of the church? We discuss it in episode 15 of the More Than a Pastor Show. Get the show notes at our website: Progressive Theology, Racial Justice, LGBTQ and the Co-vocational Future of the Church.

We’re continuing our series on why I think the future of the church in America is co-vocational. Why I think the church of the 21st century will look less like the 20th century and more like the 1st century. And why now is THE time for pastors like you and me to figure out how to leverage our ministry skills into a secondary income source, so we can serve God and provide for our families no matter what. In today’s show we’re going to talk about Toxic Church Culture, Beth Moore, #CHURCHTOO and the Co-vocational Future of the Church. We're continuing our series on why co-vocational pastors are the future of the church in America. Why the church of the 21st century will end up looking more like the church of the 1st century.  And today we'll explore what I think is one of the biggest reasons why: Donald Trump and evangelical politics. Today I’m kicking off a new series on why I think we’re witnessing the beginning of the end of the church in America as we’ve known it. And why it’s OK for you and me to feel fine about that. (With a hat tip to R.E.M., of course!) In this series I'll share why I think co-vocational pastors are the future of the church in America. Why the church of the 21st century will end up looking more like the church of the 1st century.  Get the show notes/transcript over at www.morethanapastor.com/12.
