We did it y'all! We've journeyed through one full season of the More Than Mom Podcast and can I just say, I am SO PROUD OF US!!! On this episode I'm recapping all of the guests that we've featured this season, telling you about some of the behind-the-scenes growth, and most importantly, sharing details of what I'd like to do in Season 2. Most importantly - I want more representation. More races, more socioeconomic backgrounds, more religions, more relationship varieties. I want this to be a place where everyone feels included and where everyone can find community. Let us know what you've loved about this season and what you'd like to see in Season Two. Most importantly, I want to thank you for coming along this journey with me. I am so incredibly grateful for each and every one of you in this community, and from me to you, I'm wishing you an incredible summer with your children.

On this episode of The More Than Mom Podcast, Lisa Theriot joins us to talk all about becoming an empty nester. Lisa is the Women's Minister at LifePoint Church in Smyrna, Tennessee and after successfully raising five kids herself, she is the perfect person to chat with us about how to find health and happiness in the empty-nester stage of motherhood. I hope this conversation is healing for those who are nearing or new to the days of having a quiet house, but I also know it will be beneficial for all of us who are actively raising children in our homes. Lisa reminded me of the importance of actively sowing into our marriages while we raise our children. After all, one day our kids will have left our home and a healthy relationship with our spouse will be instrumental to finding joy and happiness in that time.

Summary
New York Times Bestselling Author Mo Isom joins us today to talk about the concepts surrounding her book Sex, Jesus, and the Conversations the Church Forgot. Many of us come from one of two sexual upbringings: a sexual education led by pop culture with graphic imagery and lewd narratives, or a sexual education led by the church that is wrapped around sin and avoidance. Neither conversation teaches us what the Bible actually says about sex and God's great design for sex in our lives. So many people struggle to navigate sex and intimacy within their marriage, and in this episode, MJ and Mo talk about some obstacles that couples commonly face and actionable steps to take to begin to progress towards true glorifying intimacy. Tune in to learn more about what the Bible actually says about sex and some different ways to cultivate healthy intimacy within our relationships.

One month ago, I asked you guys if you'd be interested in a gardening episode and the response was a resounding "YES!" Today I sit down over Skype with my friend and garden wizard, Arianna Iappini. Through her company The Birch Arbor, Ari coaches people to help bring their garden dreams to life! She brings decades of gardening experience and an extensive amount of knowledge to serve beginners and experts alike. I have personally worked with Ari in creating our garden in our new home and have been blown away by her fluency and attention to detail. As I've shared our garden journey, I have received a mountain of messages expressing people's interest in starting a garden of their own and asking for advice on where to start. Ari and I both hope that this episode can serve as a catalyst for so many of you to finally take the plunge into your gardening journey!
