For this "&" episode, we invite our friend and band pastor Brian Holland to talk about seasons of feeling near to God. Brian has been in full-time ministry for over 20 years, and has been on a journey discovering that he is not only LOVED by God, but also LIKED. This transformative thought process has completely changed the way he looks at life with God. We also spend time exploring what it looks like to bring God into more than just our "quiet time", and recognize that He is ALWAYS with us.

Our sixth song of the year, Life in Your Love, has an interesting backstory and went through a lot of changes before being recorded. Listen as we share how this song was written, and then what changes it went through over the course of two years. We also discuss the recording process and the influences that helped make this song our guitar-heavy summer jam.

For this "&" episode, we invited our friend & fellow artist, Ryan Ellis, to talk about what our response should be in seasons of feeling far from God. Ryan has lived a lot of life, so he brings an incredible amount of wisdom to this topic. Seasons of feeling far from God are hard to admit at times, and instead of asking "God, where are You?", we hope this episode challenges you to ask some much more necessary and life-giving questions. Ryan recently released a 2-part project, "Lyfe" and "Rysponse."

Today on the podcast, we discuss the creation of our May release, Speak To Me". We start the episode sharing the season of life that inspired this song, and talk through the importance of admitting when we may feel far from God.

This song was first started back in 2013, so it has walked a very long road to get to where is stands today. Tune in to hear why it took so long to release, the changes it needed to go through along the way, and what influences we had throughout the process.
