after Nickels succumbed to the contact high of a room full of psychogenic spores, he began to see visions of phyrexians and otherworldly creatures walking through walls in an ethereal fashion. He was almost coerced into freeing the nightmare creature they'd found in the galley by a vision of a ten-eyed goat, but luckily was restrained by his party until the visions passed.

Seeing the horrors being summoned and controlled by this rival gang, the party asked Hilda, their benefactor, what it was she'd gotten them into. She confessed the box they were looking for belonged to her late sister, and had been stolen by this gang after they'd killed her. Its contents were still left undisclosed.
