In another two-part episode of Mormon Identity, our host, Robert Millet, and his guest Brent Top explore the uniquely appealing doctrine of a premortal life. Mormon Identity’s host, Robert Millet, and guest Camille Fronk Olsen continue their two-part discussion on women in the scriptures. They begin their review with reference to Miriam, the older sister of Moses. Camille describes how, from a safe distance, little Miriam watched Pharaoh’s daughter pull the baby Moses from his floating basket and then, in an act of biblical courage, the inspired Miriam approached Pharaoh’s daughter and suggested that she knew of a Hebrew woman, Moses’ actual mother, who could nurse little Moses through the early days of his life.

In this episode of Mormon Identity host Robert Millet discusses women in the scriptures with associate chair of ancient scripture at Brigham Young University, Camille Fronk Olsen. Camille refers to her early career studies at the University of Utah’s institute of religion. While she was encouraged to teach on subjects of her choice, her contemporaries warned of difficulties in finding adequate “women in the scriptures” material to support a single term of study. But over time Camille’s research grew to include three full terms of study. And now, after a 20-year teaching career, Sister Olsen has helped countless students better appreciate the equal value our Father in Heaven places on both men and women.

Robert Millet and Daniel Judd, professor of ancient scripture at BYU, talk about inspired gospel teaching. They identify love for your students as the most important factor in successful teaching.
