Morning Cup of Jesus with Minister Edward Broom

Whatever God has planned for our future, God will prepare us for it. If we resist & rebel, we make it hard on ourselves. If we submit to God, He brings us through in a way that prepares us for the next level.

Christ has something wonderful for the people who love Him & something that never ends for the people who have faith in Him. If you don't realize the value of it, you are not willing to give up everything for it & you miss out.

Christ's finished work on the cross outweighs our inability to enter this world & live a perfect life without sin. Have faith in what He did. Trust in what He said. Obey what He taught. Imitate how He lived. He's all we got.

Let's shift our focus away from our works & the fruit of our works, & let's focus on Jesus who is the Author & Finisher of our faith & our life.

I believe things that enter our eyes, ears, hearts, & minds naturally show in our words & actions. It's critical to guard what we listen to, look at, & think about. It comes in one way & goes out another way.

The Holy Spirit is the mark of our eternal salvation. He resurrects us, proving nothing else saves us. Also, nothing else changes us. Place your faith & requests in Christ for His Holy Spirit. We cannot live without Him.

We cannot activate God's Holy Spirit to work in us on demand when we need Him. We must be in a close relationship in which we hear Him, feel His presence, & follow Him daily.

Don't substitute the joy of salvation in the Lord for the allure of happiness. Happiness comes & goes like people & things. Salvation is forever. God is forever. You are forever.

If one of God's children loses their way, God sends out someone to rescue them. When the lifesaver is tossed into the water, we can grab & hold it as we are pulled to safety, or we can float away alone until we drown.
