China has been holding military drills around Taiwan simulating the seizure of the island's key areas. Beijing described its actions as a warning against “Taiwan Independence, separatist forces and external interference”. A woman is believed to have suffered serious injuries following a dog attack in Carlow. Gardaí and emergency services were at the scene of the incident at a house in Ashfield Estate, just outside Carlow Town, yesterday afternoon. RTÉ South East Correspondent Marc O'Driscoll told us the latest.

Israel has said it will stop dozens of aid organisations working in Gaza, including MSF Doctors without Borders and ActionAid, within the next day for failing to hand over the personal details of Palestinian and international staff.
