A Prayer Before Making the Sign of the Cross

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Heavenly Father,

as I touch my forehead,

fill my mind with Your truth and wisdom.

Guard my thoughts from all that leads me away from You.

Help me to remember that I am Your beloved child,

created in Your image and called to walk in Your ways.

May every thought, decision, and action bring glory to Your holy name.

Lord Jesus Christ, as I touch my heart,

I remember the love You poured out for me upon the Cross.

Your Sacred Heart was pierced for my salvation,

and Your mercy flows without end.

Dwell within my heart and make it more like Your own.

Teach me to love as You love,

to forgive as You forgive,

and to live each day in gratitude for the gift of redemption.

Holy Spirit,

as I touch my shoulders,

clothe me in Your strength and protection.

Be my shield against temptation,

my guide in times of peril or uncertainty,

and my comfort in moments of trial.

Awaken within me the gifts and graces bestowed at Baptism and Confirmation.

Lead me to live boldly as a disciple of Jesus Christ,

faithful to the mission You have entrusted to me.

Most Holy Trinity,

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,

surround me with Your presence.

Protect my mind, guard my heart,

and strengthen my soul.

May the Sign of the Cross never be a hurried gesture,

but a sacred encounter with You

a reminder of Christ's sacrifice,

a proclamation of my faith,

and a shield of spiritual armor against all evil.

With love and gratitude,

I kiss the Cross and remember the price of my salvation.

Thank You, Lord Jesus,

for Your suffering, Your mercy, and Your victory.

Keep me close to You throughout this day,

and lead me safely home to the joy of Heaven.
