The Step Up for Colleen 5K is coming up next Sunday May 7th in Andover. It’s held each year in memory of Danvers High School teacher Colleen Ritzer and it raises funds for scholarships in her name for future educators. This is the 10th anniversary of this incredible event and you do not want to miss it!

Two of us debate a silly topic (today was Running Yellow Lights, Movie Theatre Candy and Bumper Stickers) and a team of 3 judges decides who has the better argument (for or against). Kendra picked the topics then David and Sue had to argue their point!

David, Sue and Kendra talked with Lt Gov Kim Driscoll about the need for LIFEGUARDS in Massachusetts. As a former lifeguard herself, Lt Gov Driscoll shared her experience and tried to convince Sue and Kendra not to be afraid.

Massachusetts is in need of Lifeguards... so David explains the requirements to Sue and Kendra... one of which was swimming 900 feet. Kendra then asked how far 900 feet was and Sue said she would panic in 2 feet of water so ----- not the job for them!

Sue thinks she is a gardener! But...her husband Tom assembled a raised bed, treated the bed, stapled the weed fabric, carried and put the soil into the bed and she pranced out in the final minutes and "popped" in some lettuce plants. What a gardener!
