I love what John 14:27 speaks to us... "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." This Bible verse tells us to not let our hearts be troubled and to not be afraid. Yes, there are crazy things happening in the world, and yes those things can seem scary and overwhelming at times, but our response as Christians shouldn’t be fear.

The most important life-choice anyone will ever make is their response to this fundamental question, choose today, Who you are going to serve. - God or Satan; the spirit or the flesh; light or darkness; life or death; faith or fear; truth or the lie... for its answer has both temporary and eternal consequences.

Have you ever felt like quitting? Have there been moments in your life when it seemed that all the effort and energies you were investing in something made no difference? Maybe you feel this way right now. Times like these are frustrating. They drain our hope and weary our spirit and soul. And if we’re not careful, they can drive us to the point of giving up.

Psalm 27 in the Latin Vulgate is known as Dominus Illuminatio Mea. It's also the motto of the University of Oxford and appears on their crest. I love the illumination that Psalm 27 brings and especially in these challenging days we're living in. Be encouraged today by it's words.

Morning glory is the common name for over 1,000 species of flowering plants in the family Convolvulaceae. Now try pronouncing that last word.
