The Lord is our God ... the Great King and Shepherd! This Psalm reminds us to sing, to shout, to rejoice in the victory that Jesus won for us. Here the Psalmist reveals a key to God's presence. Listen closely for it. And help us listen closely for the voice of God because He is still speaking today!

The Lord is ever present. He sees. He hears. He is the rock of protection for His people. Fear not because of evil doers. The Lord notices and keeps a record. God will not abandon you. He is your refuge and hope!

The Lord our God reigns in majesty! He reigns from His eternal throne in heaven. He has established the earth, given us His testimonies and placed His people on solid ground. Bless the Lord today! Rejoice in your God!

The righteous will flourish like the palm tree! When you plant your life in the court of God, you will flourish! God's works will make you glad and put a song of joy in your heart!

You beloved of God live in the shelter of the Most High God! Ponder that! Be encouraged and assured. Psalm 91 is an important psalm for all followers of Jesus. It is an assurance of God's providential protection. Read it to make your spirit bold as you face spiritual or physical threats. Use it to minister to others who are stressed and anxious.

Life passes by quickly. The longer you live the faster it seems to pass. As followers of Jesus, we want to see your work in our generation -- as a testimony to the next generation. Grant us favor from on high. Establish every work that glorifies you and benefits others.

Our Lord is strong and mighty ... and He is also good! Justice and Righteousness are the foundation of God's throne. Be full of joy today as you walk in the love of God. His favor surrounds you. Walk in the light of His face!

Psalm 88 is unique among the psalms. This psalm is so unique that I say a word about this psalm before I pray. This psalm is dark and unresolved. What does that mean? Honestly, we tend to read our three or four favorite psalms and don't even know that a psalm like 88 exists. But God put it here for us to consider. Listen the psalm and my comment ... and the hopeful prayer!

God has one Holy City -- it goes by the names Zion and Jerusalem. It's located on God's Holy Mountain. But more important than names and geography is the fact that the Lord knows who belongs to that eternal city. There are those who trace their physical birth to Zion but believers in Jesus are spiritual residents of Zion! Citizens of Heaven and eventually residents of God's Holy City!

Our God is so magnificent that there are no works like Him... faithful, good and loving. Because He is so marvelous, how could we want to do anything to be singularly devoted to Him? Be blessed by this psalm - a prayer - for an undivided mind.
