    An aviation commentator says Air New Zealand will need a bail out to the tune of around up to $3 billion.
    The airline has slashed capacity on its long haul network, suspended flights and raised the need to reduce costs due to the collapse of global travel in the coronavirus pandemic.
    Air New Zealand announced earlier this week they would be getting rid nearly 4000 staff to cope.

    Kiwis are struggling to get back into the country as the aviation industry severely reduces international flights and borders around the world abruptly close.
    Some of the stranded now believe the New Zealand government is the only hope they have for making it back home.
    Foreign Affairs Minister Winston Peters says the government is working on plans to get New Zealanders home - including possible mercy flights.
