Tamika Baldwin is a born-again believer. Her rebirth encounter took place January 31, 2010. She is an honorable mother of four children as well as a grandmother of seven grandchildren. She currently resides in South Florida and has gracefully and faithfully stayed the course of submitting to Leadership at Bread of Life Christian Center for the past eleven years, where she has devoted her time to serve as a Pulpit Assistant, on the Prayer Team, Hospitality Team, Ministry in Dance, as well as the Youth Ministry.  Dysfunction masks itself in our lives until it no longer can. It grows along with you, goes undetected, secretly sabotages your efforts and leaves you feeling powerless. Yolanda Carter is a survivor of domestic violence, an advocate and a writer of One Eye Witness: Breaking the Silence After Domestic Violence is the title of her  book.

March 22, 2016, Yolanda was fighting for her life, after waking up in  a pool of blood. Her boyfriend beat her on the head with a hammer leaving her for dead. Her left eye is gone and every bone in her face was broken. Yolanda Carter lives to tell her story to help others who are living in a domestic violence situation.

An articulate speaker, scholar, author, philanthropist, superb organizer and outstanding team player, Donovan L. Segura, Ph.D. has earned promotion within the academy of Higher Education.

Donovan Segura was recently appointed by the Southern University Board of Supervisors to serve as one of the Associate Vice Chancellors and Professor of of Public Policy and Public Administration on the campus of the only Historically Black College System in the Nation-Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

A native of Crowley Louisiana, Segura earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science, a Master of Arts degree in social science, and a Doctor of Philosophy in public policy administration (at age twenty-nine) all from Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Without question, he has increased awareness of Southern University’s institutional brand and enhanced its recognition. In January (2020), Dr. Segura was appointed as a Board Member to Louisiana’s longest running AmeriCorps program, Serve Louisiana, which engages young adults in public service work that helps the critical needs of the communities among the State of Louisiana. Dr. Segura holds active membership in Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated where he serves as the Parliamentarian within the Beta Iota Lambda Chapter seated in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
