Morning Star Journal with Tarik

The moment is final here. We finish off the Codex Alera series with the 6th and final book, First Lord's Fury. Tavi is finally returning home from Canea only to find the realm in near ruin as the Vord are close to killing all the stand in their way. I talk about my thoughts on this final book and the series as a whole. Let me know your thoughts on this amazing series either @MorningStarJrnl or [email protected].

It's only been a day since I saw Endgame and I could see it at least 2 more times and still want to watch it again. No spoilers, but I want to take a moment to talk about this monumental accomplishment that is the MCU as well as probably the best movie of the summer, maybe even the year, Avengers Endgame. If you've already seen it, or your thoughts on the MCU as a whole, let me know what you think in the comments

I go into a deep discussion of the Terminator franchise with David from Car Thoughts with David podcast and his father. We go through all the Terminator movies from the 1984 classic and even talk about the newest entry set come out soon, Terminator:Dark Fate. And along the way we get a little side tracked here and there but giving our thoughts and feelings for the franchise as a whole. Remember, there's no fate but what we make for ourselves.

Today I want to give you a status update on the podcast. There should be a new post of a discussion on the Terminator franchise with special guests coming soon. I also talk about new books, movies, bass guitars, and Legos. Another fun week, have any suggestions or comments, let me know @MorningStarJrnl or [email protected].

Today, I go over the penultimate book to Jim Butcher's Codex Alera series, Princeps' Fury. Continue the adventures of Tavi as he makes his way to the Canim homeland. However there's still trouble at home as High Lords and politicians still play their games and ignore the real threat that will kill them all, the Vord. I also talk a little about what lack of used bookstores and the future in a digital world. If you have any book suggestions or want to talk about the series, you can email me at [email protected] or find me on Twitter @MorningStarJrnl and on Instagram or Facebook.

Welcome back to the Morning Star Journal. It's been awhile since the last entry and I talk a little about the cause of the break, upcoming projects, and a quick review of Hurtling Towards a Home: A Story of Hope by David Calvert. I promised to give my thoughts of his new novel when I finished and was excited to do it. If you'd like to reach out to me, you can reach me on Twitter @MorningStarJrnl or email me [email protected]

Gear up and get ready for a race. Today I talk about a great and sometimes underrated racing game, Split/Second by Black Rock Studio. Published by Disney of all companies, this is a great high octane racing game with thrills, explosions, and great soundtrack. If you wanted to play the last race scene of Nicolas Cage's Gone In 60 Seconds (2000), look no further.

Today I take a moment away from any major reviews or retrospectives to talk about what's been going on this week and as also to request assistance in making the podcast better. I ask for all who listen to share this podcast with anyone and let me know what I can do to improve future episodes. You can reach me by leaving a message thru anchor.fm, email at [email protected], and on Twitter @MorningStarJrnl

Today I go over Book 3 of the Codex Alera series, Cursor's Fury by Jim Butcher. I try to give a "not so brief" summary of the first 2 books from previous episode and go into what happens in the 3rd book and what I think. If you have any suggestions for other books, TV shows, games, movies you'd like me to review, you can email me at [email protected] or reach me on Twitter @MorningStarJrnl
