Morning Thoughts

We know that faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. And we know that faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen. All out of the book of Hebrews. Maybe we need to ask God to show up so that we can really see Him and see Him show out!

Seasons change and the winds bring new weather. The temperature changes! Something’s happening! The wind is the Holy Spirit needing to blow through our nations! Let it blow because that’s the way we will be changed!

What can I do to help? Many people ask this question when disaster strikes but many will only be able to watch. However, the Lord has given us a tool to help - tears. Pray for the people.

Most people do not like to embrace the time of life that is appointed to come. Death. We’ shy away from the subject but in reality we should embrace it! To the Lord, it’s precious because His child is coming home!

A keystone piece of the Christian faith is forgiveness and another is atonement. Someone, somewhere had to pay the wages of sin - death. Jesus became our substitute and paid the price for all. Never forget.

People seem to become more interested in the Bible and church when times becomes difficulty. That’s OK but many still try to figure all things out on their own. We have the source and the promise - the Bible and Jesus. Trust Him in uncertain times.

Easy or hard, life needs to keep focus on the things that matter. Our sickness and our pain could rule us if we allow it to. But for the Christian, we have reason to glory in both the good and the bad!

In our younger years, we feel unbeatable. Ready to take on the world. We live for ourselves. And then, in the latter years, we realize what we missed - living for the Lord. But, you can start today!

The mountains, the country, a snowy ski slope, your backyard, or the ocean. Where is your favorite place? God’s creation is a wonder. But the greatest wonder is when He saved your soul!

Scriptures are great at giving a comparison and a contrast of one topic or another. They allow us to measure ourselves against what God says is right or wrong; we can all use good Godly counsel.
