Role models? Who is on your list? Our youth of today have been flooded with very vocal celebrities... elevating themselves to the status of “role model”. Careful... who we try to imitate is important. Choose wisely!

Some people are simply good speakers; they stand up and talk with easy and simplicity. Others may struggle. Regardless, we all use words to communicate and the Bible is clear that our words can either help or hurt others. Use caution with your words!

Truths and lies. We must choose to stand with one or the other. Standing with the truth is God’s way. Living a life if lies is that way of Satan. It seems to me to be an anxious decision.

We have favorite songs we can sing all the lyrics to. We have favorite books and movies we can recite or read back to others word for word. But what about the Bible? How much of it do we know?

Getting started. That’s usually the hardest step in anything we try to do. Taking the first step is usually the hardest. Jesus makes it a little easier for us to choose - He says he’s the Alpha and Omega and really should also be everything in between.

Family members all have roles and responsibilities spelled out in the Bible. Ephesians and Colossians both address children, mothers and fathers. Today, fathers? It’s time to hear the Word of God and the call on your life.

The mind. The Brain. The two go hand in hand and both are precious in that they make up who we are. Our memories are stored there and we can recall them from time to time. Take advantage of what you can remember today! Cherish your thoughts!

Phrases and sayings are handed down from generation to generation - some good - some not so good. Regardless, we should use care in how we use phrases such as “For Christ’s sake...”. Know what it means and use it correctly!

We live in a time of great confusion. Human life is not valued. The sanctity of marriage is no more or at best, seldom honored. Human trafficking is a real issue. Prostitution. Pornography - selling the human body for pleasure. God help our people and beliefs!

Family. Church, work, home - we can all relate to having “family” at different places. Regardless, the idea of family denotes togetherness and unity. We have to learn to rely on each other and walk together in the spirit!
