The world is changing. Some may say for the better, some will say for the worse.
But what is the role of God's Church in the midst of all this change?
Are we to disconnect? Disengage? Remove and seperate ourselves from that which challenges us?
Or are we called to so much more?
“The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion.”
-Albert Camus
Are you truly free? Is your life an expression of radical, rebellious freedom in Christ?
Or are you still a slave to an 'unfree' world?
When was the last time you fuelled up your car and then pushed it home?
Sounds a bit daft, right? Why then do we accept the gifts and grace of our faith, and then proceed to try and live without using them?
Are we worried about them running out? Listen to find out why that's a fear we will never need to indulge.
If someone gave you a new car, would you drive it the same way as an old runabout?
In the same way, if Jesus has given you a new life, will you live it the same old way?
Or will you let your attitude be transformed by the magnitude of the gift?
Are you guilty? Are you condemned? Or are you just good at finding the guilt in others, and condemning them for it?
Maybe guilt and condemnation aren't as closely linked as we think, and maybe one doesn't necessitate the other.
We all like being rewarded for our work. But how does your performance review look? Is it enough? Enough to be accepted? Enough to be loved?
Or maybe it's not about YOUR performance at all.
Are you tired? Tired of serving, tired of giving, just plain exhausted?
Do you want to give up, give in, move on, throw in the towel? Is that what God has called you to do in this season? Maybe so...
But maybe not...
Multitasking is a skill that seems to be necessary in almost every facet of our lives. However, some things were never meant to be able to coexist.
Are trust and worry mutually exclusive concepts? Or can they only coexist proportionately to each other?
Worry can only exist in the absence of absolute trust. And absolute trust is never an easy concept.
Listen to Steve Hill explain why trust in God is the only true way to eliminate worry.
Some think that money is evil. Some think that it makes the world go around. Still others think that it is a measure of success or even happiness.
But is it really about the money? Or is it actually about what we do with it, and most importantly why we do it?
Listen as Nick Barber shares with us why it's not about the 10%; it's about the 90%.
Are you just a part of the crowd, or do you want to be a disciple of Jesus?
We take into account cost when we go shopping, pay bills, buy clothes, and take a holiday.
But do we ever take into account the cost of our faith? Do we actively choose to follow, knowing the cost of discipleship?
The cost is great. Listen to Nick Barber as he shares why that cost is worth every cent.
